Her Little Promises

     As I promised, in the course of the weekend I am posting the continuation of my summer journey. We spent almost three days in the Czech Republic, ergo we started off on Friday and we headed back on Sunday. All of them were Fundays. We spent the first day with visiting Brno and Kromeriz (I am sorry, I will not be using those special characters above the name of the town).
Brno is the second biggest city after Prague, however to me doesn`t really seem like.  It is a very calm and neat city. We peeked in the Saint Paul and Peter Cathedral and afterwards we were rambling in the garden belove it. I noticed that in Czechia the gardens and green areas are very beautiful set up, such as the garden belove the Sternberk Castle which we also visited, though not worth a ticket prise. Even so climbing up in the Old Townhall tower is well worth seeing that view over Brno. The main square was filled to the brim with vegetable and fruit stalls, some kind of market, so I coundn`t really take pictures of it.  My biggest surprise was that I found a Max Mara store in the city centre, big thing for me as their fashion-fan.
I am very fond of the Czech architecture, one of my favorite architects is Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, so I couldn`t miss the Tugendhat Villa. Very best example of Functionalism, but there are far more building to explore on the streets of the city.
      After Brno we headed towards Kromeriz, but we were unlucky enough to find ourselves in a traffic congestion that lasted about 2 kilometres and that meant more than half an hour. But we finally arrived there, just in time at least to have a walk in the Archbishop Garden, although there are many other tremendously beautiful places as part of the Heritage ( closed before we arrived, damn traffic jam!).
        The main square is spruce, however you can mostly find brasseries.No wonder why!:D
 The park is unfolded on a territory of many acres. It is like a big adventure park for those who hold dear the nature. There is even a little zoo and whereever you go you can find peacocks released here and there.
        Unfortunately, when the sun set down it was time to drive to the hostel we slept in, but the following day was filled with even more places to discover and wonder at!:)

    From the Global Goals Campaign back to my Holiday Diary which -unfortunately- I have to keep short and simple because in an hour I am supposed to be heading to a meeting for the child`s camp I am volunteering for next week. This means that the next post will be published only around the weekend.
    Szentendre is a small town just a few minutes far from Budapest and with a noticeable art-life and mothertown of many gifted Hungarian artists. It is not the first time that I visited Szentendre, but for now I was particularly interested in Chiharu Shiota`s installation entitled the Rain of Memories. It was very interesing, because on one part,during the whole day it was raining. On the other part, it was in an unknown way spiritual ( you only know if you experience it). 22 thousands of keys and thousand meters of red yarn. Huge numbers which are meant to symbolize us, our connection between us. I was just pondering how many keys we have at home and how many doors they intend to open. To visit the exhibition you don`t need to open any door, just to buy a ticket until amid October.
I was able to visit with the ticket another three exhibitions which featured works by the most well-known Hungarian ceramist, Kovács Margit and other painters, such as Ferenczy Károly and Czóbel Béla. Whose pictures are exhibited in the National Gallery as well. I could take pictures only in one gallery, becaue I hate snapping when room guards scowl at me, because apart from me there were one or two tourist staring at  artworks.

         Úgy vélekedtem, hogy ez a rövidke közéleti közlemény érdemes arra, hogy az első felhívás legyen blogfelületemen és megéri megszakítanom nyári beszámolós sorozatom. Nem vagyok egy kimondott aktivista, de remélem ez sok olvasomhoz eljut, hozzátok. Mikor a Marie Clairben olvastam, hogy a világon ( vagy inkább a Földön, mert ki tudja :D) 65 millió lány nem ülhet iskolapadban és ennél több lány nem tud olvasni, akkor nagyon döbbent voltam, ezeknek okai közt pedig talán az első a gyerekházasság. A Global Goals kampány átalános és  nemi egyenlőséggel foglalkozó célokra egyaránt tör. Mi vagyunk a problémák okozói, képesek kell legyünk megoldani őket. Ezt az üzenetet el akarják juttatni a világ vezetőihez is és csak arra kérnek titeket, hogy a közösségi média platformotokon osszatok meg egy képet az általatok fontosnak tartott céllal és a #WhatIReallyReallyWant hashtaggel. Én a lányokért való törekvések közül választottam, hiszen rájöttem, hogy a legjobb befektetés a lányokban van. A mozgalom szeptemberben fejeződik be, szóval elő a zsebekből az okostelefont és lőjetek egy szelfiet!:)

    Yey! Now we come to my second post of my series. Unfortunately, the weather is not always on our side.Bad Weather!But I tried to plan for this day things to do inside, for example I visited the Picasso and Modigliani Exhibition in the Hungarian National Gallery. I was preparing very much for the Modigliani exhibition, I even read a book about his life. I have to say it was memorable, because I cannot show it to you on pictures as it was forbidden to take pictures inside. I managed to take only one in the great hall. And don`t forget to visit always the museum shop, because is thriving in interesting things and try to look for not that pricy souvenirs.Ok, this is needle in the haystack or a bit better.
     Elérkeztünk sorozatom második részéhez. Sajnos, az idő nincs mindig a mi oldalunkon. Rossz Idő! Erre a napra benti programokat terveztem, mint a Picasso és Modigliani kiállítás megtekintése, amit amúgy már több száz ezren megtekintettek a Magyar Nemzeti Galériában. Nagyon készültem a Modigliani kiállításra, még egy életrajzi regényt is elolvastam, hogy felkészült legyek. Élménydús volt, meg kell mondanom, mivel képekkel nem szolgálhatok, mert tilos volt fényképeket készíteni és én nem is vagyok az a rendszegő típus. Így csak a csarnokban sikerült egyet lőnöm. El ne felejtsem a múzeum shopokat is , ahova szerintem mindig érdemes benézni, hiszen telis-tele vannak érdekes dolgokkal. De próbálj pénztárcabarát dolgokra szemet vetni.Na jó, ez kissé olyan, mint tűt keresni a szénakazalban vagy egy kicsivel jobb.
Besides,I explored Europe`s biggest notorious H&M. It is situated in a historic building, so the big marble columns, stained glasses meet the tumblr banners, escalators and vibrant light bars. Even the fitting rooms provide you experience with their big brocade curtains and with the play of mirrors (they are placed in such way that everything holds to infinity). Of course, I bought some things too. :)
Emellett, felfedeztem a rég`emlegetett-Európa-legynagyobb H&M-jének minden polcát. Egy műemlék épület ad helyet az üzletnek, így talákoznak a márványoszlopok, festett üvegablakok a vakító lámpasorokkal és tumblrféle transzparensekkel, na meg mozgólépcsőkkel. A próbafülke is már maga egy élmény, mivel hatalmas brókátfüggönyök szolgának választófalul és éltek a tükrök játékával, ami azt jelenti ,hogy fülkékben szinte a végtelenbe látsz. Persze, én is beszereztem egy-két dolgot. :)
 And needless to say, I made my regular visit to some confectionaries very close to each other and to my hearth. I bought a box of my favorite macarons from Chez Dodo and then I tested a new place called Cake shop. Inside, everything is in apple pie order, the decorations are cute, but the most important thing is that the cakes are delicious. I ordered a vanilla cake with poppyseed, but it looked bigger behind the showcase, so I had to settle for that portion.:D I forgot to mention in my last post, that  at the café of Ludwig Muzeum they serve wonderful and tasty cakes(ps. Bounty is the best) and the view of the National Theatre amongst the gigantic pillars of the museum is gruesome in a good way.

Gondolom, nem is kell említenem, hogy megtettem szokásos vizitációim a cukrászdákba, amelyek igen közel helyezkednek el egymáshoz is és a szívemhez is. Vettem egy doboz macaront a kedvenceimből a Chez Dodoból, aztán kipróbáltam egy új helyet, ami Cake shop név alatt működik. Nagyon aranyos hely és a sütik nagyon kózerek. Én egy vaníliás-mákos szeletet rendelt, ami a hűtőszekrényüveg mögött nagyobbnak nézett ki, de be kellett érnem ekkora porcióval. :D Előző bejegyzésemben elfelejtettem megemlíteni, hogy érdemes  Ludwig Múzeum kávézójába is beülni, ahol isteni a Bounty és a kilátás a Nemzeti Színházra a múzeum gigantikus oszlopai közül hátborzongatóan gyönyörű.
    Ennyit most Budapestről, de nem sokára tovább is utazunk bejegyzéseimben!:)

            Yes, this is fully what it looks like. My holiday diary series are on the verge to start with this account.I dedicate this month to posting my experiences, for example the photography exhibit of Women in Chanel by Peter and Ingela Farago. It can be visited until the 11th of September. Something not to omit if you like fashion!
            The exhibition is a subsection of Northern Woman in Chanel, Chanel became an outsider in the meaning of outside Paris,far from the flagshipstore, but still bare moments with the design house.
It started with a coffee table book (which you can still buy), but now these pictures are on the walls of the Ludwig Museum, in Budapest. It is not the whole collection, but still enough for our eyes and minds. They featured Baltic and Eastern models, such as Anna Jagodzinska, Magdalena Frackowiak, Kassia Struss and Adreea Diaconu. It raises the awareness of turning your attention from the worldwide well-known models closer. Even if at first you cannot even pronounce their name.However your eyes can meet some Victoria Secret Angel names too,like the Hungarian Palvin Barbara and Mihalik Eniko. The models are beautiful, the dresses are beauiful, what else do you want?
My favorite part of the exhibition was the video installation room, where you found little boxes with behind-the-scene-like moving pictures and a wall full of models bust photos.
             Igen, ez teljes mértékben az aminek látszik. Ezzel a tudósítással indítom el nyaralásos sorozatom. Célom többek közt ezt a hónapot tapasztalataim megosztásának szentelni. Ilyen volt a Nők Chanelben, a Farago házaspár fényképkiállítása is, ami egészen szept.11-ig áll nyitva az érdeklődök vagy lelkes divatbúvárok előtt.
              Ez egy alága az Északi Nők Chanelben-nek. Chanel kívülálló lett abban az értelemben, hogy Párizsból kirepültünk, zászlóshajói szereppel ellátott boltjától messzebb, de továbbra is csupa percek a divatházzal. Egy kávézó asztali könyvvel kezdődött (ami jelenleg is megrendelhető), s most már a képek a Ludwig Múzeum falaira vannak felfüggesztve. Nem a teljes kollekció,de így is kielégíti szemeink és lelkünk, elménk. Balti és Kelet-Európa-i modelekkel dolgoztak,mint például Anna Jagodzinska, Magdalena Frackowiak, Kassia Struss and Adreea Diaconu. Elfordítja figyelmünk a jól ismert amerikai modellek felől közelebb, olyanokra, akiknek nevét talán elsőre ki sem tudnánk ejteni. De találkozunk Victoria Secret angyalokkal is, mint a magyar Mihalik Enikő és Palvin Barbara. A ruhák gyönyörűek, a modellek gyönyörűek, kell ennél több?
A kedvenc részem a videókkal instalált szoba volt, ahol bennfentes, színfalak-mögött-szerű mozgóképek voltak kiállítva kis boxokban, illetve egy fal tele a modellek képeivel.

          Take your time and visit the surrounding of the National Theatre in the view of the fact  it hides more and more interesting things, like the ziggurat. On the top of it you can take pleasure in one of the shorelines of the Donau. With No.2 tram (Jaszai Mari terminal) you get here and it gives you the feeling of sitting on a tourist bus.
          In a short time I will continue my Holiday Diary, but till then have fun!:)
