Her Little Promises

    I am having a busy period, thus I didn't have time to think out new blogposts, I have just scanned through my pics to see what could make a good post. So this unaccidental accident or fate ordained me to write about places where I have eaten or had a coffee. Both places are very close to each other, on the side of Buda. The only failure appears in the lack of photos made of the meals I tried out, because there are none.So I will write about them just broadly.
     The first place is the Park Restaurant. The first thing that had some kind of wow effect was the wall with the flower garlands. I don't know if you can remember, but a few years ago a similar wall (Tensta Konsthall) was trending everywhere. It also reminded me of the walls from the Dior shows. It is needless to say that I would like to see something similar in my room, even if it is made of artificial flowers.On the walls there were also miniature grazing animals and lamps in little flowerpots.
Turning to the dishes, we weren't even there, but I had know that I want to have a chocolate souffle. It was very delicious with icecream and when you spooned in it, hot melt chocolate run out of it. I couldn't choose easily from the menu, because they had mostly dishes with duck, which I don't like. But the daily menü sounds very delicious for a reasonable price.
    Villa Bagatelle is the place where you have a brunch , wherefrom you post a picture  and you get hundred and something hearts. Indeed, it is a plausible choice for breakfast or a chat with your girlfriends.Their coffee specialty is worth a try.
The interior is exciting, beautiful wallpaper, pleasent colors and elclectic, Alice in Wonderland-like  chandeliers hanging down, though bit out of this place.

    A Villa Bagatelle az a hely, ahova beülsz egy brunchra, amiről posztolod a százegynéhányra szívezett képet. Valóban, reggelikre, barátnős beszélgetésekre megfelelő hely. Kávékülönlegességüket, ami a hely nevét viseli, érdemes kipróbálni. Ez a helyiség is nagyon izgalmas, mindenhol gyönyürű tapéta, kellemes színek, a falról pedig eklektikus, Alíz csodaországos lámpa lóg, ami kicsit ki is tűnik a teremből.
     Legyen szép napotok és kívánom, hogy induljon jól a hetetek!:)

    When being in Budapest, we found (OK, intentionally "found") this little Sugar Shop,in its literar sense. It is situated in the centre of Pest,in the Paulay Street, but they have one more shop in Budapest, in the Petőfi Street.
    When we entered I was like: could somebody pinch me, please?  It looks as though you were in a sweet heaven, not only for children, but also for some adults:"Taste of happiness" as it was written up on the wall. It is similar to Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but this was more like a candy factory. Jelly bellies are on the walls due to the colors order in a rainbow. But there are billions of  lollipops, zillions of gummy bears and scads of marshmallows in all the colours and shapes you can imagine to exist. There were ready-made cups with sweeties, but you preferred you could also sort for yourself the sweeties in a smaller or bigger (even the biggest one was too little for me) bucket.
    After all, self-service is the most compelling part -to my mind-, choosing from that huge variety of marshmallow was a great challenge though. If you scroll a bit downer, you'll see my bucket and its content. There are clouds, hearts, ice creams,twisted marshmallow and colored cylinder. I made a little low-budget gif of them, I call it The pilgrim of sweets.
     The shop has a a café premise, where you can sit down and have a piece of cake,ice cream, petit four or a super sugary shake. Their mini cakes look gorgous, they have rainbow unicorn cake or even flowerpots. I brought home two macarons, on called unicorn and the other one with salted caramel. They were both very delicious.Above and beyond you can order cakes for special occasions, even in the theme of fashion: Tiffanys and Victoria's Angels bag, emergency set for girls, etc. When sitting in the café by registering in Mixgar, sugar!, you can vote your faverite artist,song and modify the playlist played in the café. By the way, even the loo is full of sweets from the floors up to the walls, including the sink and the toilet see. It is worth a peek or rather pee.:D
    Finally, I bought some witty things, such as these "Happy fucking bday" candles and Bean Boozled. They sell party accessories, my favorite candles were :"Shit ur old", but I am not old enough to buy them for my upcoming birthday. They have also in their shop stationary, beauty products and home decorations  and all of them very amusing. I bought a small box of Bean Boozled (although they had a Jelly Bean Boozled boardgame) and I can't wait to try them out with my friends.
    It was a very memorable shopping time and I truly recommend you this little wonderland, so drop in if you find the time and you are starving to eat something deliciously sugary!:D

    The Budapest Photo Festival or BPF is a new initiative, turning to be organized every year from now on, in order the capital city to gain the label "City of Photography". Its exhibitions are accessible to a wide public (particularly by a little walk), there is a minor number where you need to pay an entrance fee. The scenes are differing from one another, there is the Istituto Italiano di Cultura,Turkish Cultural Center, Hungarian Olympic and Sports Museum, Szabó Ervin Central Library, as much big as small galleries, exhibition centres. I decided mostly to visit the smaller ones (just one, maybe two rooms), because they give me a comfortable feeling and they tend to be more special in a peculiar way for me. I think these aren't that sought and every visitor counts who makes the artworks items of interest. Indeed, in most of these galleries we were the only ones there.
      I don't how and where to start... Maybe right at the beginning. It was pouring all day, and in the previous one it was SNOWING (it's April or what). It couldn't turn me down, my desire of exploring new places is unquestiontable, still the rain hold me back from visiting everything I wanted. But at least, this way we couldn't wait to arrive to any of my targets or rather to a warm shelters with roof from the rain and cold.
     I tried to capture you my favorite corners, moments of my visit. Let me write a few words of each one. 
    The first one was entitled "REMAKE"  and there were exhibited black-and-white portraits of famous artists, from writers to actors. These photographs had a great intensity, contrasty, capturing each figure's powerful traits and glance.
    Ebben az évben indult útjára a Budapesti Fotó Fesztivál vagy BPF, évenkénti megjelenést tervezve ahhoz, hogy a főváros felvehesse a fotóváros címet. A kiállítások a nyilvánosságnak elérhető (kis sétával), kevés helyen kell belépőt fizetni. Minden helyszín más és más: van itt Olasz Intézet, Lengyel Intézet, Török Kultúrális Központ, Magyar Olimpiai és Sport Múzeum, Szabó Ervin Fővárosi Könyvtár,  nagyobb és kisebb galériák egyaránt. Úgy döntöttem, hogy a kisebbeket (egy-két termes) részesítem előnyben, mivel sokkal otthonosabbak és különös módon kivételesebbek számomra. Szerintem ezek iránt nem is olyan nagy az érdeklődés, pedig minden látogató számít, hiszen ők teszik a munkákat az érdeklődés tárgyává. Valóban, ezeken a helyeken legtöbbször csak mi voltunk az egyedül.
     Nem is tudom hol és hogyan kezdjem...Talán a legelején. Egész nap esett az eső, előző nap pedig hullt a HÓ (április van vagy mi). Nem tudott elkedvteleníteni, mivel az új dolgok felfedezése iránti érdeklődésem megkérdőjelezhetetlen, habár az eső miatt nem sikerült eljutnom minden betervezett helyre. De legalább alig vártuk, hogy elérkezzünk minden helyszínre, melyre egyfajta tetős menedékként tekintettünk az eső és hideg elől.
    Megpróbáltam a látogatásaink kedvenc sarkait, pillanatjait megörökíteni. Csak néhány szót hadd említsek meg mindenikről.
    Az első címe REMAKE volt, ahol fekete-fehér portrékat tekinthettünk meg ismert emberekről, íroktól színészekig. Erőteljesek, kontrasztosak voltak a fotók, megragadva a figurák vonásait, pillantását.

Instax-Deák Erika Galéria

    My personal favorite was the "Instax", just on the corner, not that far away from last gallery mentioned.  These days polaroid cameras relive their time, they are again fashionable after fifty years or maybe they have never been out of fashion ever. There is something magical about them, you cannot photoshop them and they reflect the actual, bare reality. Some artists used them as an alternative way to tell a story, others as pieces of a color spectrum or even as postcards.
    Our following stop was the "Recognition" of Szymon Roginski and Milan Racmolnar in  the Platan Gallery. The pictures looked like the artists were taken by some aliens, ufos.:D Peculiar lights here and there, planets, the universe, quirky shadows and so on. In point of fact, their concept was to reveal a world met in sci-fi movies, that excites you and raises your sneaking suspicion.
    Our last stop in this blogpost is the K11 Gallery, where we visited two exhibits. One was called Nellys by Tamás Schild , who featured details from the life of a gypsy family, an often used theme here in Eastern Europe. But the little girl with white wings literally looked like a little angel in the setting sun's light. The other one was by Attila Adorjáni, the photos looked like those posted on Facebook and next to each a quote cited from Kiss Péter. Mum really enjoyed these quotations, I think those were much more touching than the pictures themselves.
