Feeric Fashion Week #1

A bit behind time, but here I am with my review of the Feeric Fashion Week (FFW) which was organised this time in Sibiu county, between the 17-23th of July. Unluckily, I could only stay for three days, but those three days were unbelievably eventful. I was very excited since this is thought to be the most creative fashion week. Designers were invited to present their masterpieces from all over the world, including Hong Kong and Argentina. For a whole week, Sibiu was the nucleus of the fashion world. I better not babble much, rather kick it off with the first collection...

The first show I saw during the FFW was by The Secret Code of Fashion, in a place where stones are extracted, quarry. I arrived earlier and I had the chance to see the rehearsal (and to get sunburnt due to the one hour shift), so I decided to post these instead of the pictures taken during the show. A great number of the shows had menswear as well as womenswear, just like this one. It wasn't definitely one of those men in suits. We could see pieces that can be worn during SS, while the others during AW. The patterns were fascinating with all those surrealistic motives (eyes, lips), however, the high heels were quite intimidating as I cannot wear them.

Kissé időn kívül ezzel a bejegyzéssel, de itt vagyok a visszatekintővel a Feeric Fashion Weekre (FFW), amelyet ebben az évben Szeben megyében rendeztek meg, július 17-23. között. Sajna, csak három napra tudtam maradni, de ez a három nap tele volt pakolva eseményekkel. Nagyon izgatottan készültem erre a néhány napra, mivel ezt a legkreatívabb divathétként tartják számon. Tervezők voltak meghívva a világ különböző pontjairól, ilyen Argentina és Hong Kong. Egy egész hétre Szeben a divatvilág atommagja lett. De nem is fecsegek többet, lássuk az első kollekciót...

Az első bemutatón a The Secret Code of Fashion-t láthattuk, egy kőkitermelő telepen. Korán érkeztem (és rögtön le is égtem), ebből adódóan láthattam a próbát, éppen ezért érdekesebbnek találtam ezeket a képeket megosztani veletek, mint a shown készülteket. Mint a legtöbb kollekcióban, ebben is vegyesen voltak férfi és női darabok. Ez egyértelműen nem volt az a férfi öltönyös stílus. Többféle évszakra láttunk ruhákat, volt AW kollekció darab, de SS is. A minták sajátosak voltak a szürrealista motívumok játékával (szem, ajkak), de a magassarkú cipők félelmetesek voltak, főleg nekem, aki egy lépést nem tudna tenni bennük.

Looking back, this was my favorite show of that day: Modement , from Hong Kong. Quite from far away, huh? And they made the Asian culture appear in front of us, in an appealing way for the modern high-generations. This designer group intends to combine culture with art, without gender limits. The hairstyle caught my attention at first as they had colorful chopsticks in their hair, also reminding me of their exotic culture. The most fascinating detail on the clothes was the embroidery of the different materials.

Below you can also spot a picture of me sitting on the stairs of one of those cottages from a fairy tale because this is how that what place looked like: the homeland of fairies, nature all around it, trickling stream in the back garden, seeing the mountains from its tower.

Így visszatekintve ez volt a nap számomra legkedvesebb showja: Modement, Hong Kongból. Jó messziről, mi? Úgy tették, hogy az ázsiai kultúra vonzó módon jelent meg a modern high-tech generáció előtt. Ennek a kreatív csoportnak célja a kultúrát művészetekkel keverni, minden nemi meghatározottság nélkül. A frizura volt az, ami először felkeltette a figyelmemet, hiszen színes pálcikák voltak beleszúrva a modellek hajába, ez is az egzotikus kultúrájukra emlékeztetve engem. A legmagával ragadóbb részlet azonban a különböző anyagok hímzése volt.

Lentebb egy képen épp egy meseházikó előtt ülök, hiszen úgy is nézett ki: a tündérek lakhelye, a természet ölén, csörgedező patakkal kertjében és kilátással tornyából a hegyvonulatra.

The following show was presented in the heart of the historical Sibiu. And what did we see? Avaton by Marios Karavasilis. The satin dresses were swirling all around the audience,he made us jump back in time or at least to a fictitious world, and the setting was of great help. He designed some very outstanding clothes and accessories, using laces, fur on pelisses, gold, black and silver colors.

A következő showt a történelmi Szeben szívében rendezték meg. És mit láttunk mi? Avaton-t Marios Karavasilistől. Szatén ruhák suhogtak a nézők között, visszarepített minket időben vagy legalább egy elképzelt világba és ebben segítségére volt a helyszín is. Nem mindennapi ruhákat és kiegészítőket láthattunk, melyek elkészítésekor csipkéket, szőrméket, arany, ezüst színeket is felhasznált.

The venue for every night was the Redal Expo.Sad to say that I missed the first show by Alisha Pretty. I only caught the final walk, but you can see from far that the clothes were very colorful and varied. It was literally a fashion parade.

A helyszín minden este a Redal Expo volt. Sajnálatos módon az első bemutatót lekéstem, csupán a legvégét csíptem el. Már messziről láthatjátok, hogy nagyon színesek és eklektikusak voltak a ruhák. Szó szerint divat parádé.

The next was a collection by Natalia Manza, which was totally alamode. Couture was always heartthrob and this collection was not extravagant, rather petit. Some of the clothes were decorated with Chantilly lace and Swarovki crystals (honestly, is there anyone who wouldn't like to wear such a dress?). Each dress was very feminine, mostly whitish colors, but there were a few bold orange-red also. My favorite one was the dress with illusion neck-cut and with light pink flowers applied to the textile. It couldn't have been more couture! :)

A következő bemutató Natalia Manzatól nagyon alamode volt. Couture mindig a szívem csücske volt és ez a kollekció nem is volt extravagáns, hanem petit. Néhány ruha Chantilly csipkével és Swarovski kristályokkal volt díszítve (őszintén, ki nem viselne egy ilyen ruhát?) . Mindenik ruha nagyon nőies volt, leginkább a kellemes fehéres színek domináltak, de volt néhány merészebb piros-narancs is. A kedvenc ruhám illúzió nyakkivágású volt és az anyagra rózsaszín virágok voltak applikálva. Ennél couturebb már nem is lehetett volna!:)

The last show of the day was by Lui by Luiza. Frederico Fellini's movie inspired her to bring Dolce Lady into being, the new Anita Ekberg or Anouk Aimée. If you have seen this film, you'll know that the female figures are closely connected to the plot and so did this collection. I could relive the movie, and it was interesting to see all this in colors and not in black and white. I loved the hairstyles, because like the dresses, were very authentic. The pieces spread strong femininity. They are wearable for a modern leader, businesswoman, but for a party as well when the night falls down. Dolce Vita can be a lifestyle, but Luiza transformed it into a genre.

This was all about my first day at FFW, but more are to be told!:)

A nap utolsó bemutatója egy Lui by Luiza show volt.Frederico Fellini filmje inspirálta a Dolce Lady megteremtésekor, az új Anita Ekberg vagy Anouk Aimée. Ha láttad már a filmet, tudni fogod, hogy a női figurák mennyire meghatározóak, akárcsak ebben a kollekcióban. Újraéltem a filmet és érdekes volt nem fekete-fehérben, hanem színesben látni.Tetszettek a frizurák, mivel a ruhákhoz hasonlóan, hitelesek voltak. A ruhadarabok erős nőiességet sugároztak, viselhető modern lider, üzletasszonyoknak, de esti kikapcsolódásra is. Dolce vita egy életstílus is lehet, de Luiza zsánerré formálta.

Ennyi lenne az első napomról, de még sok mesélnivalót tartogatok!:)
